Job Summary:

We are seeking an Armed Security Officer to ensure the safety and security of our clients, employees, and visitors in Melbourne Eastern Suburbs.

About the Role:

  • This is a full-time position requiring 12-hour rotating shifts (6:30 AM – 6:30 PM or 6:30 PM – 6:30 AM).
  • 24/7 availability is necessary with the ability to respond to emergency situations via CCTV until resources are deployed.
  • Armed Guard endorsement is required on your security license as well as a current Category H Handgun License.
  • While experience is not necessary, you must possess excellent communication and customer service skills, as well as strong computer skills (Outlook, Word, Excel).

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assist with emergency situations via CCTV until resources are deployed.
  • Manage access control alarm and fire monitoring to ensure site compliance.
  • Communicate with emergency services and police when required.
  • Maintain security and visitor logbooks weapons register and lost/found register.
  • Write daily activity reports in the reporting system.
  • Utilize security software such as Gallagher Genetec and Tecom.
  • Provide excellent customer service.

Key Requirements:

  • Australian citizens or individuals with full working rights.
  • Valid driver's license and own transport.
  • First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Strong computer skills (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Flexibility to work 12-hour rotating shifts 24/7.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Successful police and background checks.
