Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Structural Engineer to lead our design and engineering team in regional Queensland.

This role is ideal for a technically strong engineer who thrives in a practical environment, overseeing structural integrity, design, and compliance across multiple industrial sites.

The Role Responsibilities
  • Lead the development of innovative structural designs, ensuring compliance with Australian and international standards.
  • Provide expert technical guidance to engineering teams, ensuring projects meet safety, regulatory, and operational requirements.
  • Oversee the creation of high-quality structural drawings, specifications, and deliverables for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage project timelines and resources effectively.
  • Coach and mentor junior engineers, driving high professional standards.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives in engineering processes, systems, and design tools.
About You
  • Degree-qualified in Civil/Structural Engineering.
  • 5-10 years' experience in structural engineering, preferably in heavy industry (manufacturing, processing, mining, or similar).
  • Chartered or RPEQ registration (or close to obtaining).
  • Strong knowledge of Australian Standards, codes, and compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency in structural analysis/design software (SpaceGass, FEA tools, drafting packages).
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Key Requirements
  • Regional Queensland location.
  • Civil/Structural Engineering degree qualification.
  • 5-10 years' structural engineering experience in heavy industry.
  • Chartered or RPEQ registration.
