Transport Logistics Coordinator

Our client, S&you Australia, is a leading global organisation in the logistics industry. They pride themselves on providing top-notch freight forwarding and logistics services. They are currently seeking a highly skilled Transport Logistics Coordinator to join their team. This role will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of the company's domestic and express couriers transportation requirements, including air freight and land transportation needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate collections and deliveries for cleared shipments and warehouse movements.
  • Ensure cost-effective buying for domestic collections and deliveries.
  • Coordinate quotes and tender requests for domestic transportation and project works.
  • Ensure all transport movements are promptly communicated to relevant parties in writing.
  • Coordinate and monitor domestic Hot Shot movements.
  • Maintain Transport Log, ensuring all information is updated accurately and in a timely manner, including third-party job costs.
  • Correspond with warehouse deliveries and relevant Insight warehouse receipts.
  • Accurately accrue costs to job files.
  • Invoice job files as per agreed contracted rates.
Key Skills and Experience:
  • Minimum 2-3 years' experience in a similar position.
  • Knowledge of industry, customs, and freight forwarding terminology.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Confident in conflict resolution.
  • Advanced negotiation and relationship skills.
  • High-level customer service skills.
  • Positive and professional attitude.
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite.
  • High attention to detail and strong planning and organisation skills.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks effectively in a busy work environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work autonomously and within a team environment.
  • Excellent working knowledge of Customs ICS and Cyberfreight computer system.
