Job Description

We are seeking part-time and/or full-time permanent midwives to provide evidence-based care in collaboration with women and the healthcare team.

This role offers a work-life balance through 12-hour shifts, allowing for flexibility and opportunity to input into future development of models of care for women and families.

  • Deliver high standards of midwifery care to women of varying ages and cultural backgrounds
  • Collaborate with women, their families, and the multidisciplinary team to plan, assess, implement, and evaluate midwifery care and achieve identified goals and health outcomes
  • Mentor junior and undergraduate midwives in provision of midwifery care
  • Work collaboratively with the wider healthcare team to support patient care needs
  • Focus on delivering exceptional patient experiences for women and their families
Key Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will possess:

  • Current registration as a midwife with AHPRA
  • Bachelor of Midwifery or Graduate Diploma in Midwifery (if Bachelor of Nursing is first qualification) or equivalent
  • Clinical skills across the continuum of maternity care, with a focus on birthing and postnatal care
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Commitment to family-focused approach to care
