Expert Payroll Advisor

Deliver payroll excellence through accuracy, compliance, and trusted advice.
This is an opportunity to work in a team focused on continuous improvement and employee support across the organization.
The role involves day-to-day payroll operations, including timesheet processing, interpreting employment conditions, and ensuring compliance with legislation and enterprise agreements. You'll also support annual reporting, budget preparation, and year-end financial requirements, as well as providing insights and compliance advice to the People and Culture team.
- Process payroll operations, including timesheet management.
- Interpret employment conditions and provide accurate advice to employees, in collaboration with HR.
- Maintain accurate payroll procedures and ensure compliance with legislation and internal policies.
- Assist in system testing and updates for the payroll module.
- Complete year-end processes including salary accruals and leave liability reporting.
- Provide payroll data and reports for budgeting, grants, WorkCover, superannuation, and other payments.
To succeed in this role, you'll have:
- A minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar Payroll Specialist role.
- Demonstrated experience in efficiently processing end-to-end payroll functions, including STP, Superannuation, and WorkCover.
- Experience with various systems and databases.
- Prior experience in preparing complex payrolls, including interpretation and administration of employment legislation.
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
