Role Overview

The role of a village manager is a highly sought-after position in the retirement industry.

As the primary point of contact for residents, you will be responsible for proactively anticipating their needs and addressing any concerns they may have. This requires excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with residents, staff members, and external stakeholders.

You will also play a key role in promoting the village, assisting with events such as open days and sales promotions, and facilitating resident activities and functions that enhance their lifestyle and enjoyment.

In addition to these responsibilities, you will assist with managing sales enquiries and ensuring a smooth transition for new residents into their villas. You will maintain regular communication with residents regarding village news, services, and updates on building improvements.

We are seeking an experienced and passionate individual who has prior management experience in the hospitality, service, or health industries. Knowledge of the Retirement Villages Act is essential, as well as a deep understanding of the needs of older people.

A strong work ethic, internal drive, and the ability to deliver an outstanding customer experience are all crucial qualities for this role. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are also essential, including the ability to communicate effectively with individuals of varying ages and backgrounds.

Organisational and attention to detail skills are vital, as well as the ability to manage budgets, interpret financial statements, and use financial management software.
