Our school is seeking an enthusiastic, creative, and passionate Health and Physical Education (HPE) teacher to join our successful Specialist Basketball Program.

Job Description

The program provides student-athletes with the opportunity to excel both academically and athletically while developing qualities such as leadership, resilience, teamwork, and a strong work ethic. The main responsibility of this position is to teach in the Specialist Basketball Program, and applicants should display a high level of experience and expertise in basketball to be considered.

The successful applicant will contribute to other areas of the HPE Learning Area, including Lower school HPE programs across Years 7–12. Experience in teaching Australian Tertiary Admissions Rank (ATAR) and General course in HPE is highly desirable.

Apart from teaching basketball, we are looking for a candidate who can effectively manage classroom environments, foster a student-focused and inclusive approach, and collaborate with colleagues in curriculum development and resource sharing.

Maintaining high expectations for student achievement, nurturing safe and motivating learning environments, and contributing positively to the wider school community are essential responsibilities of this position.
