We are seeking experienced Casual Youth Workers to support children and young people in our Foster Care and Residential programs in the Logan, South Brisbane, and Gold Coast region.

As a Youth Worker, you will form and maintain professional relationships with children and young people, promoting positive relationships with peers and family members. You will also support the involvement of family and facilitate family visits/connection to suit individual needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build trust with children and young people through visible interest and active engagement
  • Act as an appropriate adult role model, engaging young people in purposeful activities to develop life skills and self-worth
  • Support the involvement of family and facilitate family visits/connection
  • Promote positive relationships with peers and other persons significant to the child/young person
  • Assist the child/young person to participate in making decisions about activities

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of the Circle of Security and CARE frameworks is highly advantageous
  • Experience with family intervention programs is desirable
  • Valid Full Unrestricted Australian Drivers Licence
  • Valid First Aid Certificate and CPR Certification (or willingness to obtain prior to commencement)
  • Complete Hope and Healing Framework Foundations prior to starting
