Job Summary

Leidos is seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Engineer to join our Digital Modernization Sector. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining complex computer data communications network systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Network Design and Engineering: Provide engineering specifications, modifications, and inspections for computer networks, including planning and implementing upgrades.
  • Network Support and Maintenance: Support the installation and maintenance of client LAN/WAN devices, respond to and resolve incident tickets, and draft and implement standard network change requests.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Provide support to Tier III network engineers for incident management and projects, coordinate and install new equipment, and conduct inventory.
  • Configuration Management: Update topology drawings, ensure asset management records are accurate, and perform configuration management functions.
  • Network Operations: Coordinate network operations, maintenance, repairs, or upgrades, and configure and troubleshoot layer 2 switching.
Requirements
  • Clearance: TS/SCI with Polygraph
  • Experience: 16 years of experience in network engineering, design, and implementation, or a combination of work history and education.
  • Compliance: Compliance with Department of Defense (DoD) 8570 Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level 2.
  • Technical Skills: Working knowledge of basic routing fundamentals, layer 2 switching concepts, CISCO/Juniper Return Material Authorization (RMA) processes, and layer 1 and layer 2 network experience.
  • Software and Tools: Familiarity with Microsoft Visio, ServiceNow, and Atlassian Confluence, and working knowledge of Service Now or similar IT Service Management (ITSM) products.
  • Travel: Up to 25% travel required.
