Security Career Opportunities

  • This role offers a dynamic and rewarding career as a Police Security Officer with the South Australia Police.
  • You will provide operational support to ensure the efficient and effective security of government assets on a 24-hour, 7-day roster basis.

Key Responsibilities

  • You will perform a first response function to security alarm activations and other security incidents.
  • You will operate and monitor alarms, CCTV and emergency telephone systems.
  • You will undertake static, foot and mobile protective security duties.
  • You will prepare reports and provide statements for evidentiary purposes.
  • You will assist in the induction and training of other Branch members.
  • You will engage with key stakeholders to ensure best practice in customer service.

Requirements

  • Australian or New Zealand Citizenship or permanent residency is required.
  • A subject to a criminal history check is necessary.
  • Shift work is a requirement of the position (24/7).

Training and Development

  • The Police Security Officer Qualification Program consists of classroom-based instruction and on-the-job training.

Benefits

  • OPS3 - $67,589 plus annual allowance of $2,394.80 upon completion of training (plus shift penalties and overtime).
