Enterprise Data Governance Expert

The role involves establishing an enterprise data governance implementation roadmap, encompassing strategic priorities for the development of information-based capabilities.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • - Develop and implement an enterprise-wide data governance framework, focusing on enhancement of data quality and protection of sensitive information through modifications to organizational behavior policies and standards.
  • - Define roles and responsibilities related to data governance and ensure clear accountability for the stewardship of principal information assets.
  • - Facilitate communication between business and functional areas, as well as technology, to ensure that data-related business requirements are clearly defined, communicated, and well understood.
  • - Maintain inventory of enterprise information maps, including authoritative systems and owners.
  • - Implement data quality standards, data protection standards, and adoption requirements across the enterprise.
  • - Define indicators of performance and quality metrics, ensuring compliance with data-related policies, standards, roles, and responsibilities.
  • - Lead senior management in achieving objectives.

Requirements:

  • - Strong passion for data governance, frameworks, roadmaps, strategy, and policy.
  • - Experience in enterprise-level environments, ideally setting up greenfield practices.
  • - Demonstrated data and/or information management experience.
  • - Ability to influence at the senior management level.
  • - In-depth knowledge of data management and governance practices.
