About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Legal Counsel to join our team at Link Group. As a key member of our legal department, you will play a critical role in providing legal support and guidance to our business units.

Key Responsibilities
  • Negotiation and Contract Management

You will be responsible for negotiating, drafting, and reviewing commercial contracts with clients and vendors, ensuring that our interests are protected and that we comply with all relevant laws and regulations.

Operational Management

You will manage internal processes and ensure proper stakeholder engagement and good governance throughout the contract lifecycle.

Legal Support and Advice

You will provide legal support for transactions, corporate restructurings, regulatory, and governance matters, as well as advising business leaders on legal risks and issues impacting the business.

Process Improvement

You will create and improve legal processes, such as maintaining templates and harnessing legal tech tools to drive efficiencies.

Requirements
  • Qualifications

You must be a qualified Australian solicitor with 3-5 years PQE experience, either in private practice or in-house.

Commercial Outlook and Pragmatic Approach

You must have a commercial outlook and a pragmatic approach to legal practice, with the ability to provide proactive and pre-emptive advice.

Experience and Skills

You must have experience in contract drafting and negotiation, as well as knowledge and understanding of corporate law and procedures and financial services.

Personal Attributes

You must be willing to learn on the job, broaden your experience, and work autonomously, as well as being comfortable working in a team and adapting to a fast-paced environment.
