Mobile Application Engineering Lead

The role of Mobile Application Engineering Lead is a pivotal position within an organization, responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of mobile applications. By leveraging expertise in Xamarin or Maui, this lead will enable critical processes, intelligent operations, and innovative services to serve end-users and stakeholders to industry-leading standards.

As a seasoned professional with 9+ years of experience in a lead mobile application development role, this individual will bring extensive engineering leadership to oversee code development of various mobile applications, including Xamarin or Maui development, as well as mobile web or native application development. They will be responsible for coaching team members, leading squad discussions, and ensuring the squad works towards timelines.

The ideal candidate will have clear evidence of tech leadership of squads and working with clients or customers. Additional preferred qualifications include Australian Baseline Security Clearance, experience working with government agencies, and familiarity with cloud message APIs and usage of push notifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Be a subject matter expert in Xamarin or Maui mobile application development, providing technical advice to solve complex problems.
  • Oversee technical activities of application development, including working with requirements or design teams, developing technical designs, performing and overseeing code development, and implementation of system changes.
  • Oversee a mobile application development squad or squads to ensure planning, code development, pull requests, peer reviews, testing, reporting, and documentation meet the highest standards.
  • Work with multiple stakeholders and their respective needs to represent scope, schedule, development approaches, and releases.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree.
