Are you passionate about working in a dynamic underground environment? We are seeking a dedicated Field Service Technician to support our mining customers in New South Wales.

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in testing, repairing, installing, and commissioning electrical equipment on sites. Key responsibilities include:

  • Installation and Commissioning of Electrical Equipment
  • Onsite electrical auditing, testing, breakdown assistance, commissioning, and installation of Longwall systems, Development Power systems, Conveyor signal line and communication systems, Gas monitoring equipment, and HV electrical equipment
  • Providing face-to-face support to clients
  • Working individually and in small teams across a wide range of mine sites
  • Providing timely and quality service-related reports following site work

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A willingness to work hands-on in an electrical manufacturing and service environment
  • Safety as a core value
  • Experience with HV electrical equipment and systems specific to mining and utilities (including diagnosis and fault finding)
  • Experience with Underground coal longwall systems (Ampcontrol controlled systems an advantage)
  • Experience or understanding of Ampcontrol products
  • Demonstrated knowledge of explosion protection techniques
  • Understanding of relevant industry standards (desirable)
  • Good report writing skills
