Job Description

Our group finance function is embarking on an exciting transformation program to support our next phase of growth. The initial focus will be on process standardisation, automation, and improvement, supported by this role.

  • Lead accounting processes to deliver timely and accurate financial reporting (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow etc.)
  • Support month-end closing activities and consolidation process
  • Financial reporting, including assisting with the Audit process.
  • Provide reports and data to the FP&A team to measure and report various performance metrics
  • Coordinate journal entries
  • Analyse management fees and intercompany transactions
  • Prepare stakeholder cash flow forecasts weekly

The Successful Candidate

You will have a commercial background working as a Finance Manager or Senior Accountant, with leadership experience in managing accounting and transactional finance staff. You will possess strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships. Key requirements include:

  • Qualification in finance or accounting, such as CA, CPA, or equivalent.
  • Experience working on finance transformation projects like process standardisation, system improvement, and automation.
  • Proficiency in financial accounting and reporting standards
  • Knowledge of Australian taxation regulations
  • Leadership of period-close procedures and financial consolidations
  • Understanding of intercompany accounting practices and reconciliation processes
  • Knowledge of finance master data management and data integrity controls
  • Proficiency with financial software for journal processing and reporting (preferably D365).
