About the Role

Talenza is seeking a seasoned professional to lead the deployment of a large-scale Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system for our retail, supply chain, and FMCG client.

This is a specialized role that requires expertise in deploying large-scale ERP systems, collaborating with business and technology teams to ensure successful testing, configuration, and go-live.

Key Responsibilities
  • Environment Management
    • Collaborate with integration teams, data migration teams, testing teams, IT infrastructure teams, application/platform owners, vendors, and System Integrators (SIs) to establish test environments as part of the cutover plan.
    • Validate test and production environments, including hardware, software, network, and data configurations, to ensure they are fit for purpose.
    • Control changes to environments and coordinate environment refresh.
    • Support governance and environment release management processes, and map the environments schedule in Azure DevOps.
    • Resolve conflicts, coordinate, and resolve defects related to environments to ensure environment availability.
    • Communicate environment availability across all relevant stakeholders.
  • Cutover Plan Management
    • Responsible for managing the cutover process into various environments and ultimately into production.
    • Develop a cutover plan that includes timelines, dependencies, resources, sequencing, priority, and success criteria, within a structured framework that ensures a smooth transition from legacy systems to the new ERP system.
  • Execution of the Cutover Plan
    • Coordinate the progress of the overarching deployment schedule and manage corresponding cutover activities to connect all parties involved.
    • Manage issues and take corrective actions by tracking, prioritizing, and working with project teams to resolve them.
    • Monitor and prepare summary reports on cutover progress, results, and issues.
    • Conduct post-cutover reviews to capture lessons learned and identify areas for improvement in future cutover processes.
    • Ensure stabilization and address any post-cutover issues promptly with the Hypercare team.
    Requirements
    • Demonstrated experience in leading deployments on 3 or more large-scale ERP projects in a cutover capacity.
    • Experience managing ERP environments and familiarity with Azure Services.
    • Good understanding of IT infrastructure and Cloud principles.
    • Demonstrable expertise with engineering tools such as MS DevOps, PowerShell, Service Now, Confluence.
    • Experience working with Agile delivery frameworks like Scrum and Kanban, Waterfall, and hybrid setups.
    • Excellent project management skills, including planning, organizing, and executing complex cutover activities.
    • Solid background of working with Product Owners, project delivery teams, and other stakeholders at various organization levels to ensure alignment of priorities, manage dependencies, and remove impediments.
    • Exposure to retail, supply chain, or FMCG systems would be advantageous.
