Network Infrastructure Deployment Manager

At Amazon, we're looking for a talented Network Deployment Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Network Infrastructure Design team, you'll be responsible for managing the implementation and delivery of passive and active network solutions.
You'll oversee the development and growth of a team of technicians and engineers, providing technical and leadership expertise to ensure the highest levels of performance. Your goal will be to deliver capacity to existing Data Centres and help build and bring online new Data Centres.

Key Responsibilities- Manage and develop teams of technicians and engineers, providing technical and leadership expertise.
- Deliver capacity to existing Data Centres.
- Help build and bring online new Data Centres.
- Constantly improve all our processes and procedures.
- Assist and manage relationships with external vendors and contractors.
- Liaise with internal teams and management groups.
- Ensure we adhere to and exceed local Health & Safety standards in all our Data Centres.
- Create and maintain metrics on all aspects of our Data Centres and utilize those metrics to drive positive changes.
- Assist in implementing service methodologies, including incident management, problem management, change management, capacity management, etc.
Hold or be able to attain an Australian Government Security Vetting Agency clearance.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONSAn engineering degree or equivalent with 5+ years of relevant engineering or manufacturing operations experience, of which 3+ years in a people management experience, building and managing technical teams.
Incident and vendor management experience with security and health & safety awareness.
Proven ability in driving and managing metrics/KPIs with a high degree of organization and detail-orientation.
Sound knowledge of Microsoft Suite (MS Words, Excel, Project Visio, and PowerPoint).
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSNetwork build planning and budgetary experience.
Proven track record of success in delivering complex projects.
Ability to translate client requirements into technical specifications.
Familiarity of Data Centre server rack and network infrastructure.
