Job Title: Electrical Technician (UEE40420 Certified)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, test and maintain electrical and instrumentation systems, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
  • Work with PLCs, process control systems, and industrial automation to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Ensure strict compliance with electrical safety regulations and standards across all projects.
  • Set up and maintain communications systems with precision and reliability.
  • Apply extensive electrical expertise in commercial, office, data centre and industrial environments.
  • Leverage in-depth knowledge of lighting systems and emergency egress lighting for safe and efficient operation.
  • Install, test and commission fibre optic and copper infrastructure to support high-performance networks.
  • Promote a safe and compliant work environment through adherence to best practices.
  • Deliver exceptional workmanship, maintaining high standards on every job site.
  • Collaborate with experienced technicians and apprentices in well-established teams.
  • Play a key role in mentoring and training apprentices, supporting their hands-on development.
  • Utilise strong communication skills to engage with clients and collaborate in a fast-paced, growing industry.

About You

You will:

  • Be a UEE40420 certified technician, and hold your Certificate IV in Electrical – Instrumentation.
  • Hold your Electrical Licence, valid within NSW. Holding your ACMA licence with endorsements of structured and fibre optics would be highly regarded.
  • Have your WHS White Card.
  • Have several years of industry experience within the electrical and communications industry, specifically working within data centres.
  • Bring the ability to perform electrical maintenance in commercial and industrial spaces.
  • Be a team player with a can-do attitude.
  • Have excellent safety awareness and meticulous attention to detail to maintain a high standard of workmanship.
  • Be willing to be a part of an on-call roster.
  • Hold or be eligible to obtain your baseline/NV1 security clearance.
  • Excel in both collaborative team environments and in working independently.
  • Showcase proactive problem-solving skills.
