Lead Laboratory Operations

Job Description:

As a Business and Laboratory Manager, you will be responsible for leading the efficient delivery of critical testing and matching services that support transplantation, immunogenetics and HLA compatibility.

You will lead operations of the laboratory, contribute to operational planning, drive performance, innovation and successful change initiatives. Additionally, you will shape strategy as part of the TIS leadership team, champion continuous learning, and support research and development initiatives.

The role requires collaboration with scientific, clinical and laboratory teams to ensure high-quality outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead operations of the laboratory
  • Drive performance, innovation and successful change initiatives
  • Contribute to operational planning
  • Collaborate with scientific, clinical and laboratory teams

Qualifications and Experience:

Proven leadership in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment is essential. You should have experience leading large, technical and/or scientific teams. A strong financial management background, including budgeting, cost control and business planning, is also required.

Additionally, you should possess a people-first approach, with the ability to inspire, motivate and foster continuous improvement and quality outcomes. Hands-on experience in recruitment, training, rostering and performance management is beneficial.
