Job Summary:

This senior leadership position oversees a large field-based team, focusing on operational excellence and delivering high-quality services to customers.

  • Lead a team of over 120 people in field operations for a major power distribution network, promoting efficient workforce utilization, effective stakeholder liaison, and excellent safety outcomes.
  • Drive end-to-end delivery performance, leveraging active management frameworks and productivity tools to ensure seamless project execution.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

  • Effectively manage field crews, supervisors, schedulers, and administrative support staff.
  • Evaluate and improve operational discipline through process enhancements and coaching.
  • Foster a positive union culture with experienced operators and trade professionals.
  • Promote a high-performance work environment through employee development and collaboration.
  • Maintain strong relationships with planning teams, safety functions, and external service providers.

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience leading large field-based teams (50+ people).
  • Strong industrial relations knowledge in a unionized environment.
  • Operational leadership background from infrastructure, utilities, construction, or heavy industry sectors.
  • Familiarity with field services delivery across distributed sites and mobile crews.
  • A proven track record of improving safety performance and productivity in high-risk environments.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, including internal and external partnerships.
