Job Role

We are seeking a senior safety and commercially focussed leader to manage our field delivery teams out of our depot. As a key member of our Leadership Team, you will be responsible for ensuring operational excellence, embedding a strong safety culture, and driving performance outcomes that support business growth and regulatory compliance.

You will work closely with senior leaders to optimise project delivery, control costs, and develop high-performing teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Become part of our Leadership Team and act as the Senior Leader to direct reports and a diverse field workforce, consistently delivering messaging in relation to safety, teamwork, and culture.
  • Deliver the highest possible safety standards by conducting leadership walks in the field, reviewing and improving works practices, and ensuring field staff have the appropriate fleet, tools, and equipment.
  • Maintain a consistent presence at the depot to ensure visible leadership and a path for issue escalation is available to the wider team.
  • Manage personnel in accordance with company policies, ensuring only personnel with appropriate skills and qualifications are employed or assigned to carry out required tasks.
  • Optimise performance of the Field Delivery teams by identifying efficiencies in scheduling, resource allocation, and business processes.
  • Take accountability for the financial performance of the program which the field workforce delivers, working closely with peers in the Leadership Team.
  • Maintain positive Industrial Relations interactions and show leadership in dealing with union-related issues.

About You

  • Proven ability to drive a safety culture and implement improved safety processes, systems & programs to ensure effective delivery of work.
  • An understanding of energy distribution networks and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills to develop and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Effective cost management within approved guidelines, sharing and allocating resources for projects, and achieving targets.
  • Demonstrated competency in utilising resources and matching the capability and capacity of the workforce and physical resources for the delivery of issued work.
  • Experience in planning and strategy.
  • Proven experience managing field teams.
