About the Role

This position involves working on a variety of equipment, including machinery and vehicles. Key responsibilities include:

  • Performing routine maintenance tasks such as servicing and repairs
  • Undertaking rebuilds and overhauls to ensure optimal performance
  • Designing and creating new equipment, including assembly and fabrication
  • Leading daily prestart meetings and completing necessary documentation
  • Mentoring and guiding colleagues as required
  • Traveling to work sites when needed

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A relevant trade qualification
  • Experience with heavy vehicle and earthmoving operations (preferable)
  • A good understanding of diagnostic tools and systems
  • Familiarity with hydraulic and electrical systems, including repair and maintenance
  • Skill in welding and fabrication (valuable)
  • The ability to manage stock and order spare parts
  • The capacity to work independently and make decisions
  • Creativity and adaptability in problem-solving
