Strategic Governance Leader – Insurance, Mining, Health

**Job Summary**

This highly visible and influential role provides governance support to the Board and Committees. The Company Secretary, Group Executive Role will ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices.

The successful candidate will have 8 years' experience as a Company Secretary in a highly regulated organisation, preferably with APRA regulated experience and ability to operate under ASX listed and/or highly regulated governance standards.

The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal communication and relational skills, good judgement, flexibility, and patience. They must also be able to handle confidential and sensitive matters.

**Key Responsibilities**
  • Servicing the Board: Provide strategic governance support to the Board and Committees, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices.
  • Good Governance: Monitor Board and Director compliance with Charter responsibilities and relevant policies and procedures.
  • Effective Meetings: Facilitate effective governance and decision making through efficient meeting coordination and preparation.
  • Effective Records Maintenance: Maintain accurate and complete records in a structured and secure manner.
  • Director Support: Provide support to Directors, coordinating Director Induction Program maintenance and delivery.
**Required Skills and Qualifications**
  • 8 years' Company Secretary experience in a highly regulated organisation.
  • APRA regulated experience is essential.
  • Strong interpersonal communication and relational skills.
  • Good judgement, flexibility, and patience.
  • Highly detail oriented with a meticulous approach to follow through.
