As a Senior Clinical Psychologist, you will apply high-level psychology knowledge and clinical expertise to provide cancer care services. You will be part of a team that values care, connection, and compassion for all.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • To apply high level Psychology knowledge, clinical skills and clinical expertise, leadership, consultation and professional supervision in the provision of cancer care services.
  • To contribute to service development, education, and research in the work unit.
  • To demonstrate high level clinical competence, experience, and knowledge of Psychology practice and interventions relevant to working in a specialty clinical area.
  • To demonstrate ability to work with clients affected by cancer, including patients with a diagnosis of cancer, their carers, and significant others.
  • To provide high level Psychology services of a complex and varied nature, where established principles, procedures, and methods require some expansion, adaptation, or modification.
  • To initiate, plan, and evaluate local service improvement initiatives and provide clinical supervision to developing clinicians.

Your Ideal Qualifications:

  • Mandatory possession of a qualification from a registered tertiary institution as a Psychologist and Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency with a current annual practicing certificate is essential.
  • At least 5 years full time equivalent post-graduate experience in Psychology practice; clinical experience in cancer care will be highly desirable.
