Australian Training Company is seeking a skilled Horticulture Apprentice to join our team. As a Horticulture Apprentice, you will be responsible for maintaining and caring for gardens and lawns in various locations across Sydney. Your duties will include pruning, planting, hedging, mowing, identifying plants, using fertilisers and chemicals, maintaining irrigation systems, identifying pests and diseases, shaping branches, and using various machinery. You will also have the opportunity to advise on general tree and garden care. This is a 4-year apprenticeship that includes 3 years of on-the-job training and 1 day per week at TAFE, where you will learn all aspects of garden and lawn maintenance. As a Group Training Organisation, Australian Training Company pays wages, superannuation, and all payroll entitlements. If you are a motivated and enthusiastic individual with a passion for horticulture, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.

**Key Responsibilities:**

* Maintain and care for gardens and lawns in various locations across Sydney
* Prune, plant, hedge, mow, and identify plants
* Use fertilisers and chemicals, maintain irrigation systems, and identify pests and diseases
* Shape branches and use various machinery
* Advise on general tree and garden care

**Training and Development:**

* 4-year apprenticeship with 3 years of on-the-job training
* 1 day per week at TAFE, where you will learn all aspects of garden and lawn maintenance
* Paid work day at TAFE with no fees

**Requirements:**

* No experience required
* Driver Licence (not L's) and own transport highly preferred

**Locations:**

* Northern Suburbs: Most work is commercial maintaining strata residences, parks, and some residential
* South Western Sydney: You will be trained in maintaining and caring for lawn at sporting grounds and parks in commercial premises
* Metro Sydney: You will learn all aspects of garden and lawn maintenance
