About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Accountant to join our team on a fixed-term contract to cover parental leave for 12 months. As a key member of our finance team, you will play a critical role in supporting the financial requirements of the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Debtor Invoicing: You will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely debtor invoicing, including managing customer relationships and resolving any issues that may arise.
  2. Creditor Invoicing: You will also be responsible for creditor invoicing, including managing supplier relationships and ensuring that all invoices are processed in a timely and accurate manner.
  3. Bank Reconciliations: You will be responsible for performing regular bank reconciliations to ensure that our financial records are accurate and up-to-date.
  4. Foreign Exchange Management: You will be responsible for managing foreign exchange transactions, including ensuring that all exchange rates are accurate and up-to-date.
  5. Maintaining Accurate Filing Systems: You will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date filing systems, including ensuring that all financial records are properly documented and stored.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong background in accounting and finance, with experience in a similar role. You will also need to have excellent analytical skills, an intermediate level of Microsoft Excel, and superior written and verbal communication skills.
