About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional leader to join our senior leadership team as Chief Philanthropy Officer for Western and South Australia. This is a full-time role based in Perth, reporting directly to the Executive Director, Membership & Engagement.

As a key member of our national Membership and Engagement team, you will be responsible for building relationships and engaging with the philanthropic sector in both WA and SA to drive Philanthropy Australia's efforts to grow membership, inspire new giving, and foster better approaches to giving.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage relationships with WA and SA members, delivering a high-quality end-to-end membership experience.
  • Grow membership in WA and SA by establishing clear targets, timetables, and strategies for prospecting, growing, and renewing membership.
  • Implement the annual membership services plan for WA and SA, working closely with Engagement Leads in both states.
  • Develop and deliver local networking opportunities and events in WA and SA, leveraging partnerships to extend Philanthropy Australia's influence and reach.
Selection Criteria
  • Tertiary qualifications in Business, Economics, Social Impact, or a relevant field.
  • Demonstrated strong leadership and interpersonal skills, including strategic thinking, inspiring others, positive interaction, and effective problem-solving.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, with a focus on member relations, Board, staff, key partners, and other stakeholders.
  • Strong networks and knowledge of philanthropic and community sectors, including Private and Public Ancillary Funds, advisors, and corporate philanthropy.
  • Motivated self-starter with management experience, able to work as part of a small national team.
