Senior Publicist Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Publicist to fill this key position. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of PR experience, preferably in an agency setting, with a proven track record of securing media wins.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Pitching and securing standout media coverage across print, broadcast, and online platforms.
  • Developing compelling story angles that go beyond press releases.
  • Running events and activations that feel newsworthy and social-friendly.
  • Managing user-generated content creators and influencers to amplify campaigns.
  • Creating content ideas that work across PR, social media, influencer engagement, and content marketing.
  • Leading multiple client accounts and ensuring seamless campaign execution.

The successful candidate will be comfortable working across PR, social media, influencer engagement, and content marketing. They will also be organized, proactive, collaborative, and calm under pressure.

This full-time employment opportunity offers flexibility to work from home and is based in South Melbourne. We consider applicants based in Sydney as well.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of PR experience.
  • Proven track record of securing media wins.
  • Agency setting preferred.
