Job Title: Learning Support Specialist
We are seeking an experienced professional to provide College-wide support to staff implementing policies and procedures related to student learning disabilities, physical disabilities, emotional and behavioral difficulties.
Main Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with senior management to develop strategies enhancing student learning outcomes.
- Provide training and resources to staff on Northern Territory Department of Education's policies and procedures related to student support.
- Work closely with the college's academic team to ensure effective implementation of student support programs.
- Monitor and report on student progress and program effectiveness.
- Stay up-to-date with best practices in special education and apply knowledge to improve student outcomes.
Requirements:
- Senior Teacher 1 experience in a similar role or relevant industry experience.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to analyze data and develop insights to inform decision-making.
- Knowledge of Northern Territory Department of Education's policies and procedures related to student support.
Working Arrangements:
- Full-time position based at Casuarina Senior College in Darwin.
