Job Description:
As Chief Executive Director of Strategic Operations, you will be responsible for leading an executive team with three direct reports. Your key responsibilities will include:
  1. Managing the executive support team to deliver multiple tasks, deadlines, and priorities.
  2. Engaging in analysis and preparing associated documents on specific issues as required by the Public Guardian, including correspondence, briefing notes, and speaking points within short timeframes.
  3. Consulting with agency staff and briefing the Public Guardian both verbally and in writing on emergent and critical issues that may require sensitive management or immediate attention.
  4. Providing high-level quality assurance and critical analysis of briefs, correspondence, and submissions to ensure accuracy in both content and presentation (including data verification) and alignment with relevant legislation and policies.
  5. Building a detailed knowledge of OPG's strategic priorities, operational service delivery, and emerging issues, and leading projects on behalf of the Public Guardian.
  6. Building and maintaining strong professional relationships internally and with external stakeholders.
  7. Displaying strong personal accountability to deliver high-quality work under pressure and managing issues of a confidential, sensitive, and contentious nature with discretion.


Required Skills and Qualifications:
Tertiary qualifications in law or policy are highly desirable, and relevant work experience will also be considered.
