About the RoleAs a key member of our Central Sterilising Department team, you will be responsible for the collection, cleaning, packaging, sterilisation and storage of reusable medical devices used in patient care. This critical work ensures that instruments, reprocessing methods, and the working environment adhere to industry standards, policies, and procedures.
This position may involve cross-training in the Calvary Endoscopy Department as a Cleaning Technician, reprocessing endoscopes. Your main duties will include:
- The collection, cleaning, packaging, sterilisation, and storage of reusable medical devices
- Completing documentation in accordance with established policies, procedures, and Industry Standards
- Participating in daily controls, testing, monitoring of compliance, and validation requirements
We are seeking an experienced professional with a Certificate III in Sterilising Services or equivalent, who is willing to obtain certification if required. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment are essential. A willingness to participate in on-call rosters and work a rotational shift schedule from 06:00 to 22:00 weekdays and 08:00 to 18:00 Saturdays is also required.
In this role, you will join a dedicated team committed to delivering high-quality patient care. We offer a competitive salary package, including $65,000 - $80,000 per year, dependent on experience, plus benefits such as paid parental leave, salary packaging, and flexible working hours.
