Clinical Support Assistant

As a Clinical Support Assistant, you will provide essential care and support to patients in a hospital setting. This role is ideal for individuals who are studying nursing or have recently completed their studies and are eager to gain hands-on experience.

About the Role:

This position involves working under the supervision of a registered nurse to deliver high-quality patient care. You will be responsible for supporting the nursing team in various clinical settings, including palliative care, general medicine, and medical oncology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Report all patient observations to the appropriate registered nurse.
  • Support the nursing team in the delivery of patient care as directed by the registered nurse.
  • Provide direct care activities to patients in accordance with the care plan and under the supervision of a registered nurse.

Requirements:

  • Evidence of current enrolment in a Bachelor of Nursing degree, Diploma of Nursing, or completion of Certificate III in Health Services Assistance (Acute Care).
  • Demonstrated effective communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Ability to respond quickly and decisively in a fast-paced environment.
