Job Description

Cognizant is seeking a highly skilled Senior API Developer to join our team. As a key member of our API development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying scalable and secure APIs using the Apigee Edge platform.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop API gateways using Apigee Edge to handle high traffic and complex API integrations.
  • Develop and deploy APIs using JavaScript, leveraging tools like Postman, JMeter, and SOAPUI.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate APIs with microservices and other applications.
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines using DevOps tools like Jenkins and Azure DevOps.
  • Monitor and analyze API performance using Apigee Edge analytics tools.
  • Ensure API security and compliance with industry standards.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 9 years of experience in API Gateway, API Management, and Apigee Edge.
  • Strong knowledge of JavaScript, API development tools, and DevOps practices.
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies and Scrum principles.
  • Strong understanding of cloud computing and Azure services.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
