Heavy Industry Tradespersons - Shutdown Works

We are seeking tradespeople to work on a range of heavy industry shutdowns across the Port Kembla area.


This is an excellent opportunity for qualified boilermakers, fitters and riggers who possess experience working in shutdown environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of safety procedures and be willing to commit to a consistent work schedule or occasional shutdown assignments.


The shifts will vary in duration from days to weeks and complement regular weekend works. All shutdowns are based in Port Kembla and do not include any travel allowances.

Candidates should have a valid trade certificate and relevant tickets, as well as previous experience working in heavy industry or shutdown environments.


Positions Available
  • Boilermakers: $50 per hour (PAYG) / $58 per hour (ABN)
  • Fitters: $50 per hour (PAYG) / $58 per hour (ABN)
  • Riggers: $47 per hour (PAYG) / $54 per hour (ABN)

Requirements:

  • Valid and relevant Mechanical Trade Certificate and Tickets
  • Previous Heavy Industry or Shutdown Experience
  • Working at Heights and Confined Spaces Tickets (valid within 2 years)
  • Whitecard and full PPE
  • Own Lockout Locks and Basic Tools
  • Willingness to complete a Drug and Alcohol Screening
