About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Tradesperson to join our team at Newcastle Agri Terminal, Carrington NSW. This full-time position requires a flexible and proactive individual capable of performing a variety of mechanical tasks. The role operates on a Monday to Friday, 40-hour week, with opportunities for weekend overtime.

Responsibilities
  • Perform a variety of mechanical tasks as required by the role.
  • Work on equipment maintenance, installation, and fault-finding as part of industrial operations.
Qualifications
  • Mechanical Fitter trade qualification.
  • Experience in Industrial installation and fault-finding.
  • Previous experience in heavy industry.
  • Experience with conveyor belt systems and associated equipment.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
  • Strong focus on safety, problem-solving and decision making.
  • Desirable qualifications: grain industry or materials handling experience and related certifications listed in the original posting.
