**Role:** Intensive Care Trainee

**Job Summary**: We are seeking highly motivated individuals to join our intensive care team at a tertiary referral centre within the Sydney Local Health District.

**Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide critical care services to the Intensive Care Unit and the broader hospital under the guidance of experienced professionals.
  • Develop high-level skills necessary to become a quality practitioner in intensive care medicine.

**Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Registration with the College of Intensive Care Medicine (CICM) or equivalent experience in critical care medicine.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

**Working Environment:

The Intensive Care Unit at Concord Repatriation General Hospital is a level 6 ICU with 16 beds, admitting approximately 1000 patients per year and employing 6.5 full-time intensivists.

Our unit offers nationally recognised subspecialty care through the Statewide Burns Injury Service as a quaternary referral centre and provides state-of-the-art management of critically ill burns patients.

We also offer opportunities to develop skills in managing complex medical and surgical sub-specialties, such as upper GI surgery, neurosurgery, interventional cardiology, vascular surgery, and limited thoracic surgery.
