POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking a Senior Reliability Maintenance Engineering (RME) Technician to oversee operations at our advanced Robotics Fulfillment Center. This full-time position involves a structured day/night shift pattern, encompassing 4 days of 12-hour shifts.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
The successful candidate will guide the technical team in delivering both reactive and proactive maintenance services for all operational machinery and facility infrastructure within the Fulfillment Center.
- Supervise and inspire Maintenance Technicians, providing essential guidance and direction to help them meet their objectives.
- Implement and uphold Preventive Maintenance programs, ensuring compliance and effective contractor management.
- Champion safety protocols within the team, promoting a culture of safe working practices across the facility.
- Manage maintenance-related purchase orders to optimize facility operations and maintain critical spare parts inventory.
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot all Fulfillment Center systems, including power distribution and automated material handling equipment.
- Foster strong working relationships across all organizational levels, actively participating in leadership meetings and committees.
A DAY IN THE ROLE
During each shift, you will lead a team to ensure all equipment is operational and available. This includes monitoring processes to ensure adherence to regulations and policies, as well as conducting preventative maintenance to enhance equipment uptime. You will also identify and recommend improvements to enhance system efficiency and productivity.
ABOUT THE TEAM
The Reliability Maintenance Engineering (RME) team is dedicated to maintaining optimal equipment performance. Comprised of technically skilled individuals and experienced leaders, we collaborate to troubleshoot and repair equipment across our global fulfillment network. Our responsibilities range from installing automated systems to ensuring compliance and operational efficiency.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Formal trade qualification as a Fitter/Turner or current electrical trade license.
- Experience in a maintenance-focused role, with skills in electrical or mechanical disciplines.
- Proven experience in mentoring and developing junior technicians.
- Familiarity with automation or complex material handling environments.
- Experience utilizing Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for proactive maintenance planning.
- Understanding of equipment performance metrics and statutory compliance requirements.
- Experience in contractor management.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Demonstrated ability to manage, coach, and influence team members.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects effectively.
- Management experience with the capability to mentor and develop training plans for technicians.
