Drainage Design Expert

We are seeking a highly skilled Drainage Design Expert to join our team of infrastructure specialists.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a talented drainage designer to contribute to shaping the future of Queensland's transport networks.

  • Design and develop innovative drainage systems for civil infrastructure projects, utilizing cutting-edge technology and industry-leading standards.
  • Lead and coordinate design elements to meet project goals and client expectations, working closely with cross-functional teams.
  • Partner with Principal Engineers on large-scale projects, taking ownership of deliverables and driving project success.
  • Produce high-quality design reports and drawing packages that meet or exceed client expectations.
Your Skills and Qualifications
  • A degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering (Bachelor or Masters).
  • A minimum of 2-3 years' experience in drainage design, preferably for transport infrastructure projects.
  • In-depth knowledge of Austroads guidelines, TMR standards and specifications, ARR and QUDM.
  • Hands-on experience with stormwater and drainage design, including open channels, culverts, pit and piped systems.
  • Proficiency in tools like 12D, DRAINS, MUSIC— dynamic drainage within 12D and/or experience with TUFLOW is a plus.
  • A positive attitude, with a passion for technical excellence and innovation.
  • Strong communication skills and a drive to make a difference.
