About the RoleWe are hiring an Automotive Repair Specialist to perform structural and cosmetic repairs on Tesla vehicles. As a key member of our team, you will utilize advanced tools and materials to restore vehicles to their original condition. Your expertise in MIG welding, metal finishing, and body filler will be essential in delivering exceptional results.
The ideal candidate will have 3+ years' experience as an automotive collision repair technician, with a strong background in aluminum repairs and procedures. Proficiency in Celette Frame Jigs, riveting, and welding is required. Additionally, excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in teams are essential.
Key Responsibilities- Perform structural and cosmetic repairs on Tesla Model S, Model X, and Model 3 vehicles
- Use Celette Frame Jigs for setting new structural components
- Glue, rivet, and weld structural components being replaced
- Repair exterior cosmetic panels via Metal Finishing and body filler
- Replace all parts associated with collision repair including body panels, suspension parts, vehicle structure, radiators, airbags, and trim
- Proficient in MIG Welding
- 3+ years' experience as an automotive collision repair technician
- Excellent attitude and enjoys working with others in teams
- Neat and organized work habits
- I-CAR Australia Welding certification is a plus
- Knowledge and experience with aluminum repairs and procedures
- Proficient in MIG welding
- Experience with heavy damage/structural repairs on prestige vehicles
- Certificate in Collision/Body Repair and maintenance is a plus
- Valid Driver's License and a good driving record
- Capable of reading and comprehending automotive repair procedures
- Strong knowledge of PPE and safe practices
- Strong written and verbal English skills
- Self-starter with a team player attitude
- Hands-on problem-solving skills and analytical thinking
This role offers a competitive salary range of $40-$55 per hour based on experience, plus Tesla equity. A minimum 38-hour workweek is required. We also offer opportunities for professional growth and development within our innovative company.
