Job Summary

The Simulator Technician role at CAE Australia is a key position responsible for ensuring the optimal performance of training devices. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for performing preventative and corrective maintenance tasks in a safe and effective manner.

This position is based in Nowra, NSW, and involves working with world-leading flight simulator technology. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, preferably in a mechanical or electrical trade, and have the ability to learn and adapt quickly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance tasks as directed by the Maintenance Manager
  • Ensure all maintenance tasks meet internal and external compliance requirements
  • Work with CAE's Environment, Health and Safety standards

Requirements

  • Technician and/or mechanical trade skill is desired, electrician especially, and/or electronic tech or IT professional
  • Sound IT knowledge and ability to learn systems quickly
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Avionics technician certification, experience, or knowledge will be a big plus
