Industrial Equipment Specialist

Sustainably maintaining industrial equipment requires a unique blend of technical expertise and problem-solving skills.
As a Maintenance Fitter, you will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance, servicing, and day-to-day repairs on our fixed and mobile equipment. This includes performing tasks such as:
- Performing preventative and breakdown maintenance on hammermill shredders, conveyor systems, balers, and metal sorters
- Assisting with equipment installation and commissioning
- Participating in safety inspections and audits
Key responsibilities include working to a daily maintenance plan, completing all relevant documentation, and responding to and assisting with equipment breakdowns. You will also contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, follow all safety, environmental, and quality protocols, and develop and implement process improvements.
Required skills and qualifications include trade-qualified experience in conveyors, hydraulics, pneumatics, and gearboxes, basic arc welding and oxy cutting skills, a current driver's license, and hands-on experience in a similar industrial or metal processing environment. Strong diagnostic and repair skills, as well as excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential.
