Job Opportunity

A high-performing Maintenance Technician is required to maintain and repair plant and equipment, ensuring the smooth operation of production.

Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on plant equipment using techniques such as fitting and turning.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues, and carry out repairs in a timely manner.
  • Conduct regular inspections of plant equipment to identify potential problems and prevent downtime.
  • Request materials and spare parts as needed from the Engineering Manager.
  • Complete preventative maintenance checklists as requested by management.
  • Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) when working within factory areas.
  • Support the Engineering Manager in their duties and learn seaming mechanic skills.
  • Assist in other engineering projects as required.
  • Maintain a safe work environment for yourself and colleagues.
  • Perform duties in accordance with the Work Health and Safety Policy and Code of Conduct Policies.
  • Understand and support HACCP, quality, and food safety requirements.
Requirements
  • Trade Certificate or 2+ years' experience in the FMCG industry.
  • Excellent time management and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work under pressure.
  • Well-developed diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
  • Flexible and approachable nature when dealing with stakeholders.
  • Sound knowledge of WHS obligations within a production environment.
  • Knowledge of GMP and HACCP principles.
