
Industrial Equipment Maintenance Specialist

A high-performing Maintenance Technician is required to maintain and repair plant and equipment, ensuring the smooth operation of production.
Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance tasks on plant equipment using techniques such as fitting and turning.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues, and carry out repairs in a timely manner.
- Conduct regular inspections of plant equipment to identify potential problems and prevent downtime.
- Request materials and spare parts as needed from the Engineering Manager.
- Complete preventative maintenance checklists as requested by management.
- Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) when working within factory areas.
- Support the Engineering Manager in their duties and learn seaming mechanic skills.
- Assist in other engineering projects as required.
- Maintain a safe work environment for yourself and colleagues.
- Perform duties in accordance with the Work Health and Safety Policy and Code of Conduct Policies.
- Understand and support HACCP, quality, and food safety requirements.
- Trade Certificate or 2+ years' experience in the FMCG industry.
- Excellent time management and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work under pressure.
- Well-developed diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- Flexible and approachable nature when dealing with stakeholders.
- Sound knowledge of WHS obligations within a production environment.
- Knowledge of GMP and HACCP principles.
