Data Driven Business Professional

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop high-quality data requirements documentation, ensuring business stakeholders’ approval and acceptance by effectively communicating the value of accurate information management.
• Collaborate with Information Management Architecture, Data Governance, and Support to ensure proposed solutions meet data governance standards, fostering a culture of excellence in data-driven decision making.
• Review business requirements, providing constructive feedback to ensure completeness and adequacy for accurate estimates of Information Management delivery, driving efficient project planning and execution.

Process Improvement & Strategy:

• Understand internal customers’ business processes, identifying opportunities and providing actionable insights for cost-saving and efficient solutions through data analysis and recommendation.
• Align Information Management strategy with business strategy, understanding the business vision and how to leverage data technology roadmaps to deliver impactful results, aligning with organizational goals.
• Assist business areas in developing a deeper understanding of Data Management developments in the industry and how to best utilize data technology roadmaps, enhancing their ability to make informed decisions.

Estimation Management (under guidance of IM Consulting Lead):

• Serve as a point of contact for all business forums, assessing and advising on new initiatives, facilitating effective communication and collaboration between stakeholders.
• Work with IM management and business stakeholders to ensure business impacts and opportunities from data-related changes are well understood and managed appropriately, ensuring smooth project execution.
• Prepare discovery and delivery t-shirt size and Order of Magnitude (OoM) estimates, distributing them to required business stakeholders in a timely manner, promoting transparency and accountability.
• Facilitate regular feature estimates and handover sessions with delivery teams, ensuring seamless handovers and minimizing project delays.
• Proactively communicate and update stakeholders on the progress of their requests, maintaining open and transparent lines of communication.
• Report on metrics relating to the number of requests received, approved for funding, and delivered, providing valuable insights for process improvement and optimization.

Stakeholder Management:

• Ensure stakeholders of the IM function are informed of any impacts from scheduled releases or environment changes, maintaining a culture of transparency and openness.
• Proactively manage stakeholder expectations, building trust and credibility through effective communication and relationship management.
• Facilitate meetings and workshops with Program Managers, Project Managers, Delivery Leads, etc., fostering collaboration and cooperation among team members.

Qualification, Experience, and Skills Required:

• Hands-on skills in defining data requirements and performing analytical activities/report prototyping, utilizing data visualization tools to present findings and recommendations.
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills, applying statistical methods and data analysis techniques to drive business decisions.
• Technical knowledge of Data Warehousing, Business Intelligence, Reporting technologies, and Cloud Solutions, staying up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Tertiary qualification in Information Technology or equivalent experience in a related business, demonstrating expertise in data management and analytics.
