Agile Delivery Team Lead Position

Lime Recruitment is currently working with a large Queensland government department to recruit an Agile Delivery Team Lead to work on a 6-month contract in the Brisbane CBD and remotely.

This role involves:

  • Leading a delivery team through the delivery lifecycle to ensure successful project outcomes that meet business and customer requirements.
  • Organising and facilitating agile activities and ceremonies, such as daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, retrospectives, sprint and release planning, and backlog refinement sessions.
  • Effectively managing user story estimation and forecasting to ensure accurate project timelines.
  • Championing and facilitating the adoption of agile standards, tools, and best practices within the team.
  • Coaching the delivery team on established IT and corporate standards to mitigate operational and reputational risks.
  • Proactively identifying and resolving impediments to team progress to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Communicating with leaders across the organisation to ensure transparency into project progress, challenges, and risks.
  • Utilising team feedback and metrics to identify areas for improvement and work with the team to implement changes.
  • Coaching the team to improve collaboration and self-management, promoting healthy interactions within the team and with external stakeholders.
  • Representing the team at broader planning and coordination sessions.
  • Supporting the team in using agile planning and development tools, such as JIRA and Confluence.
  • Contributing to the advancement and improvement of agile practices within the organisation.
  • Supporting the leadership team to ensure priority work is resourced appropriately.
  • Providing regular project dashboards and reports, including performance against key metrics and continuous improvement measures.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications.
  • Certification in agile delivery, preferably with a high level of expertise.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in agile delivery, with a strong background in leading teams.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as an Iteration Manager, with a proven track record of success.
