Occupational Rehabilitation Specialist

This role involves applying clinical reasoning skills to support clients through a holistic care approach. The occupational rehabilitation specialist will work within a multidisciplinary team to support the journey from rehabilitation to healing.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform various assessments depending on your area of clinical expertise, including functional capacity evaluations, worksite, ergonomic or activities of daily living assessments.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including injured employees and employers, medical specialists, and other allied health professionals to develop, implement, and monitor rehabilitation plans.
The occupational rehabilitation specialist will have the opportunity to develop and broaden their skills working across a range of schemes, including Workers Compensation and Department of Veterans Affairs. This role also involves supporting Defence Force personnel who have suffered injury, illness, or trauma, helping them become fully fit and military ready to defend and protect Australia.

Requirements:- Current unrestricted (or eligibility for) registration or membership with the relevant industry body (e.g., AHPRA, ESSA, ASORC).
- Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology, or Rehabilitation Counselling.
- Strong clinical reasoning.
- Ability to engage across multidisciplinary teams to support the achievement of a common goal.
- Passion to help people rehabilitate.
- Experience in occupational rehabilitation will be highly regarded as would experience performing Vocational Assessments.
