Occupational Rehabilitation Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Rehabilitation Specialist to join our multidisciplinary team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in providing occupational rehabilitation services to clients with physical and psychological conditions, supporting their return to health and work outcomes.

  • This role offers the opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients and employers, developing injury prevention and workplace education programs.
  • The successful applicant will possess excellent communication skills, empathy, and compassion, as well as strong time management skills.
  • A current QLD Driver's License and access to own car with insurance are also essential requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Case management with support from Rehabilitation Assistants to alleviate administrative tasks
  • Applying clinical knowledge to improve return to work outcomes
  • Working with employers and employees to develop injury prevention and workplace education programs
  • Collaborating with injured workers, employers, medical, and allied health professionals
  • Working across schemes such as workers compensation, third-party, life insurance, and others
  • Conducting vocational assessments and injury prevention services
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Tertiary qualifications in Psychology or Rehabilitation Counselling
  • Acceptance of applications with a Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) and support for ASORC membership and supervision
  • Current General or Provisional AHPRA registration or Full ASORC Membership
  • Experience in Occupational Rehabilitation is highly regarded
