Senior Nursing Educator

La Trobe University invites applications for a Senior Nursing Educator to join our dynamic School of Nursing and Midwifery.

The successful applicant will have expertise in care of the older person, rehabilitation or at home practice and be responsible for developing, coordinating and teaching high-quality learning experiences that engage students through tutorials, practical classes, demonstrations, workshops, student field excursions, clinical sessions and/or studio sessions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement innovative curriculum programs to enhance student learning outcomes.
  • Conduct research in nursing education and contribute to the development of academic programs.
  • Supervise and mentor academic staff to ensure the delivery of high-quality teaching and learning experiences.

We are seeking a senior educator with excellent leadership and communication skills who can inspire and motivate our students to achieve their full potential.

Requirements:
  • PhD or Masters degree in a relevant field with a strong focus on nursing education.
  • Registered Nurse qualification or equivalent registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Proven experience in teaching and curriculum development.
  • Ability to encourage intellectual development, discipline development and career aspirations of students.
