About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Occupational Rehabilitation Specialist to join our team at IPAR. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in providing occupational rehabilitation services to clients with a range of conditions, both physical and psychological.

Key Responsibilities
  • Case Management: Manage a caseload of clients, working closely with Rehabilitation Assistants to alleviate administrative tasks and ensure seamless delivery of services.
  • Return to Work Outcomes: Apply your clinical knowledge to improve return to work outcomes for clients, working collaboratively with employers and employees to develop and implement injury prevention and workplace education programs.
  • Client Support: Work with injured workers, employers, medical and allied health professionals to provide comprehensive support and guidance throughout the rehabilitation process.
  • Assessment and Reporting: Conduct a variety of assessments, including initial, workplace, and vocational assessments, to review diagnosis, support treatment plans, address psychosocial barriers to employment, and identify suitable employment opportunities for workers who have sustained workplace injuries or injuries sustained from motor vehicle accidents.
Requirements
  • Tertiary Qualifications: Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, or Exercise Physiology.
  • Registration and Accreditation: Registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) or with ESSA, plus SIRA Accreditation.
  • Experience: Previous experience working in the Occupational Rehabilitation industry would be highly regarded.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, employers, and healthcare professionals.
  • Time Management and Organization: Well-developed time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
