System Assurance Expert

The Systems Assurance and Engineering Lead will have significant experience in complex systems assurance and practice applied to safety-critical, socio-technical systems, particularly in the rail domain.

You will develop and deliver advanced services using systems assurance and engineering practices. Be highly experienced in one or more core systems assurance competency areas, and exercise a high degree of independence in approach.

Manage and deliver projects to clients within designated practices with considerable originality, ingenuity and judgement in formulating solutions or resolving complex systems assurance issues. Work products must be accurate and authoritative, requiring no supervision to achieve successful outcomes for our clients.

Help grow the business by assisting with, and leading teams in tender and sales activities, identifying opportunities for new or follow-on work, following up leads in areas of expertise, and fostering good relationships with clients and potential clients.

  1. Electrical/ Electro-mechanical Engineering or Electronics degree.
  2. Masters degree or professional certifications are advantageous.
  3. Twelve or more years of experience in systems assurance and engineering consulting, including customer focus, long-term client relationships, project management, technical processes, and RAMS process application.
  4. Five years experience in safety-critical software development and high-integrity software development processes.
  5. Five years experience in the rail industry is advantageous.
  6. Experience interpreting relevant standards (e.g., AREMA, CENELEC, ISO/IEC, IEEE).
  7. Advanced communication skills.

Looking for someone with experience in system assurance and engineering practice, especially in the rail domain. Ideal candidate has strong background in electrical/electro-mechanical engineering, electronics, or communication, and can lead multiple project teams.

This role involves developing and delivering services using advanced systems assurance and engineering practices, exercising independence, interpreting standards, and having excellent communication skills.
