Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough patient assessments, creating care plans and health screenings, inclusive of GPMP, TCA, 715, and 75+ health assessments.
- Assist medical practitioners during consultations and procedures.
- Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments as prescribed.
- Provide patient education on various health conditions, medications, and lifestyle modifications.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records.
- Collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care.
- Manage and order supplies, including immunisations and medical supplies.
- Supervise and work closely with an Enrolled Nurse (EN), supporting GPs and allied health professionals in their roles.
- Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Candidates must be willing to supervise or be supervised in person and remotely.
- Experience in general practice and with Best Practice software is advantageous but not essential.
- An understanding of Medicare and Medicare billing is advantageous.
- The candidate should demonstrate the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Possession of an immunisation certificate, qualifications in women's health, and/or other relevant qualifications are considered advantageous.
- Proficiency in clinical skills and knowledge of best practices in primary healthcare.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients of all ages and backgrounds.
